New ReadyTalk Features

ReadyTalk has some new features, including:
  • ReadyTalk for the iPad
     Conference participants can now access a web conference via their iPad
  • iReach Integration
    Enables clients to easily and cost effectively create and distribute a press release about an upcoming webinar.
  • Webinar Surveys
    The ability to email a custom survey after a webinar.
  • Video Clip Playback
    Easily upload and stream short video clips providing a rich web conferencing experience.
UCI LifeLine Modem Service Has Been Discontinued

May 1As of May 1, 2012, OIT has discontinued the LifeLine Modem Service. Several factors affected this decision, including:
  • The use of the modem service continues to decline.
  • The UCI modem service is unreliable because it is running old hardware that is not supported by the vendor.
  • The cost of commercial high-speed Internet service has declined and competitive pricing is widely available.
