Congratulations!

You’ve achieved an enormous milestone and are about to embark on an exciting new chapter in your life. As you transition out of UCI, it’s important to remember that your UCI email account, typically ending in @uci.edu, can be a valuable resource even after you’ve left the campus. Here’s how you can maintain access to your Gmail account after graduation.

  1. Annual Account Renewal: Once a year you must renew your account to keep it active for another year. OIT will send you several reminders, so keep an eye out for this email. Simply click the link in the email or use the link below and follow the steps to renew the account. Failure to do so will cause your account to be suspended and eventually deleted.
  2. Professional Use: You can continue to use your UCI email address for professional purposes, like job applications or networking. It can signal to potential employers that you’re a proud UCI alumnus.

Remember, your association with UCI doesn’t end after graduation. By keeping your UCI Gmail account active, you stay connected with the university community and retain a valuable resource that can serve you well into the future.

Best of luck in your next endeavors!
