KSAMS is the tool used to request and give access to numerous business and secure systems on campus. 

Access KSAMS on-campus or use the VPN if you work remotely.

KSAMS (new Security Access Management System) is a web-based centralized authorization (role-based access control) system that offers a central point for adding and removing user role membership to other applications and resources. Access is not directly managed by one person, everything is instead requested and approved via workflow with complete audit trail. This offers a consistent interface and process for users requesting access to resources, as well as a single location to give security visibility to audit what people have access to and comprehensively terminate all access when needed.

Role-Based Access

Access to these applications is role-based. Anyone with an active UCInetID can request access, but approval is granted by your Departmental Security Administrator (DSA) or another specific role approver.

Basic Features

  • View My Access – Use the Reports tab to see the current access for your account.
  • View My Departmental Security Approver (DSA) – Find out who your DSA is using the Access Request tab under Contact DSA
  • Add Access Request – Request access to a new service using the Access Request > Add Request feature.
  • View Access Request Status – Check on the status of your requests using the Approval Queue tab.
