Job Description
Under the direction of the Assistant Director, Enterprise Application Systems, the Manager, Office of Research IT receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Provides direction to staff according to established policies and management guidance. Administers policies that directly affect subordinate staff. Leads and oversees a diverse and complex portfolio of IT services that support the university’s research mission. Recommends changes to department policies and practices. Identifies risks and responds accordingly. Provides priority setting and workflow analysis. This role encompasses application development, system integration, IT project management, systems and process analysis, security, and technical support and maintenance. Scope includes in-house applications, hosted vendor solutions, as well as integration with SaaS platforms.
