Grad Slate

Grad Slate is the central campus system used for the online review of the graduate application process. It is managed by the Graduate Division. It is also the central system for online faculty application reviews and decisions.
Graduate committee members and program staff use Grad Slate to review graduate admission applications. See the Support tab to learn how to request access.
Benefits of using Grad Slate
- Applicants upload unofficial transcripts for application review. They will only be required to submit official transcripts upon admission.
- Program-specific questions can be added to the application.
- Applicants can upload writing sample(s), portfolios, and other supplemental materials into Slate as part of their application.
- Automated email reminders about outstanding documents and requirements are sent to applicants directly from Slate.
- All materials are included for online review in Slate.
- There is no need for department staff to receive or scan transcripts, letters of recommendaton, or other materials for applicant’s files.
- Faculty can rate, comment and recommend decisions in the Slate system.
