The Time Reporting System (TRS) is a flexible, scalable, and secure online timesheet application for employees, supervisors, and departmental time administrators.
Employees: ZotDefend Package Needed by July 16 to Access Canvas, TRS, and UC Path
Starting July 16, 2025, the ZotDefend Security Package will be required to access:
- Canvas
- Time Reporting System (TRS)
- UCPath
These systems will join KFS, DocuSign, FacNet, and others as services protected by ZotDefend.
The Time Reporting System (TRS) is a secure online timesheet application that integrates University of California pay policies and collective bargaining agreements. It is the primary timekeeping system for UCI employees.
TRS provides a user-friendly interface for employees to view and update their time cards, including any necessary adjustments or corrections. Supervisors can also access the system to review and approve employee time cards, manage their team’s schedules, and generate reports on employee time and attendance.
TRS Features Include
- Employees, including faculty, staff, and student employees, can fill out their timesheets online.
- Supervisors can approve, edit, or return timesheets.
- Department Time Administrators (DTA) can submit timesheets electronically to the campus payroll system.
The TRS Support Desk in the Central Payroll Office supports the system. OIT acts as a technology partner for this important campus service.
