Teams Chat Retention Policy Implementation
Scheduled for: Wednesday, Jan 29, 2025 at 5:00 AM to Tuesday, Feb 04, 2025 at 8:00 AM
Details:
At 5:00 today, January 29, 2025, a policy will be implemented for Teams general chats and group chats. This policy will automatically delete messages in the general chat that are older than one year. The policy may initially take up to seven days to be fully applied. During and after this period, do not expect to find messages in Team chats older than one year.
This policy will not affect messages in channel chats within Microsoft Team groups.
